Joshua Fit The Battle Of Jericho

Joshua Fit The Battle Of Jericho

Standort: Vatikan, Palazzo, Palazzi Vaticani, Loggia, Logge di Raffaello, 10. Joch.

Die Ereignisse gaben Stoff für das Spiritual „Joshua fought the battle of Jericho“, ugs. auch: „Joshua fit the battle of Jericho“.

Joshua Fought The Battle Of Jericho (Spiritual)
Refrain:
Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho,
Joshua fought the battle of Jericho
and the walls came tumbling down.

1. You may talk about your king of Gideon,
you may talk about your man of Saul,
there’s none like good old Joshua
at the battle of Jericho

2. Up to the walls of Jericho
he marched with spear in hand,
„Go blow them ram-horns“ Joshua cried,
„‚cause the battle is in my hand.“

3. Then the lamb ram sheep horns begin a blow,
trumpets begin a sound.
Joshua commanded the children to shout,
and the walls came tumbling down.
